A compromise or a criterion?
You know that the more the competition in a given area, the lower the prices of goods or services. Of course, this situation enables the end user to take an advantage. In the field of courier companies things are just the same: great demand respectively leads to abundant supply, a growing number of courier companies naturally leads to a greater competition and lower prices. If you have to make a comparison between the prices of several courier companies, the difference will be minimal, if there is such at all. However, if you compare the prices of shipping companies and the prices of Posts for the same services, the post offices offer a much lower price as well as lower quality of the service.
When you send something by mail, it will arrive to the receiver at least a week later, while with the courier companies, a week is the maximum limit. Moreover, sending something by mail, there is a risk of it getting lost somewhere along the way and not reaching the final recipient. With courier companies there is no such problem, because they transport the items in their own vehicles. There is no endless transfer from one vehicle to another, and in addition, each shipment is monitored, thus avoiding the possibility of accidentally being left behind somewhere along the chain. These reasons lead to an increased demand for courier services, although their prices are slightly higher than those in the Posts. People prefer to pay a little more to get services of better quality, a shorter delivery time, greater security in transport, more convenient ways to send and receive, etc. However, when I say that the prices of shipping companies have slightly higher rates, do not think that it is all about cosmic amounts - nothing of the sort. For example, the transportation of a consignment, such as package up to 1 kg, from one point to another in the country (of course, it depends on what the distance from point A to point B is) will come up to around 6-7 lev, which is not so much given the shorter delivery time, the greater security and the greater convenience when sending and receiving. Too expensive courier services, however, are subject to doubt. This is due to the increase in attempted frauds of different schemes in recent years. Therefore, when after having looked for a courier company and already picked one you hear of for the first time, and still wonder whether to trust it or not, you just need to type the name of the particular company in any of the search engines. Then open a forum where other people have decided to publicly share their opinions and impressions of the concrete company, whether they are satisfied or not. You should know that there is no company which has only positive feedback - you know very well that it is impossible for everyone to be equally satisfied with a thing. However, when you make your final choice, select the company with positive reviews outweighing the negative ones. Then you just need to contact the selected company and specify the details of the shipment, the type of service, the method of sending and receiving, etc.
I would not say that cheap courier services are a compromising option or a criterion to compare with. As I mentioned, too low prices are being questioned. The acceptably low prices of most courier companies are due to increased competition.
